General Maine Coon Information
The average female can grow to 10-15 pounds and the average male can grow to 15-25 pounds.
The average life span of a Maine Coon cat is 10-15 years.
Grooming is recommended at least once a week to prevent their coat from matting using a non-plastic comb or brush. A bamboo or metal comb/brush is recommended. However, due to their long hair, a daily brushing would be preferred. Cats generally do not need to be bathed, but if acclimated at a young age, you can train your Maine Coon to accept baths. Just do not bathe too often to prevent drying out their skin. Nail care consist of trimming or placing nail caps on their nails. Trimming should occur monthly and as needed. Nail caps need to be replaced every 4-6 weeks.
Yes, if treated right by the children and animals, Maine Coons are gentle giants. Just like all cats, they do not enjoy being aggravated, having their tails pulled, being held down, etc., but if treated well, they love humans and other animals, including small children. In our home, we have young children, a German shepherd, chinchillas, and even a gecko that the kittens will be around so they will go to their new homes accustomed to the chaos of other animals and children.
Due to the many dangers and diseases that accompany being outdoors, we do not recommend your Maine Coon being allowed to roam freely outside. However, the occasional walk on a leash is acceptable and will be enjoyed by all. Just make sure they are vaccinated and not exposed to unknown animals while on your walk.
Maine Coons come in over 80 color/pattern combinations including white, red, cream, black, blue, grey, brown, and orange. Popular fur patterns and color blends include solid, classic tabby, mackerel tabby, ticked tabby, torbie, tortoiseshell, shaded, smoke, and calicos; all of which can be with or without white.

Due to safety concerns and health reasons, I do not allow visitors to see the kittens prior to pick up day. My cattery is my personal home where my children live and is not open to the public, except during kitten pick up. I will provide a minimum of biweekly photos and videos and if/when time allows will even facetime.
This is a major investment and I understand your fears more than anything. I, myself, have been scammed paying over $1000 for what was a domestic long hair cat. It’s heartbreaking and you feel so violated. I will do all I can to alleviate your worries. I am willing to talk on the phone or facetime with the kittens. I will show you multiple pictures with the same background (something you won’t see on a scammer’s page because their pictures come from various legit breeders’ pages thus, they’re all different.). Any other ways I can help, please let me know as I do not want this to be a nervous process for anyone. It should be exciting and magical, and I want you to feel confident in the process, the kitten and myself.
Yes, we will sell breeding rights to established catteries. If you are new to breeding, I am willing to work with you if you are willing to go about things the right way and produce quality cats that adhere to TICA standards. Breeding rights start at $1500 and our breeding kittens do come with a reproductive guarantee.
Yes we do offer stud service for $1600 or 2nd pick of the litter (my choice) however, my requirements are firm and non-negotiable. The queen must be brought to my house and will stay for 48-72 hours. During that time, she will only be around my stud with a fresh clean sanitized litter box and food bowl. I don’t mind feeding your queen, but it will be Royal Canin. If you want to bring food with, I will feed her that to keep her on the same schedule as at home. There will be a camera on them that you will be given access to view. Once a minimum of 5 matings have been witnessed, she will be returned. A mating that does not produce a minimum of 3 kittens will be repeated at no cost. No refund will be offered. Prior to arrival, ALL CATS brought into my cattery MUST have a recent (within 2 weeks) negative diarrhea panel and respiratory panel PCR test. I have worked hard to rid parasites and respiratory illnesses from my cattery and I will not risk anything that may harm my cats being brought back in.
I am more than willing to swap kittens with another breeder, however, it is only for that breeder to keep and use in their breeding program ONLY. I am not willing to swap to help facilitate a sale.
